How long does an upgrade take?
Typically a single day, including testing and certification.
Will the power be off all day?
Only for the duration of the switchover itself – usually a few hours in the middle of the job, which we'll schedule with you in advance.
Do I need a new consumer unit before getting an EV charger?
Not always, but if your existing board is full or doesn't support the additional protection an EV circuit needs, we'll flag this during the survey and include it in the quote.
